| The industrious people of Brgy. Bued were
gathered last April 19 and 20, 2003 to celebrate their fiesta.
This occasion is yearly done to honor their patron, Saint
Isidore de Labrador, the saint of all farmers. While the people
are busy preparing foods for their guests, |
the barangay officials are busy decorating
the brgy. auditorium for the nights affair. The night of April
19 was said to be the busiest and most awaiting part of the
fiesta. It was the coronation of the new Mutya ng Bued, which
happened to be the highlight of the occasion. |
| Brgy. Captain Enrique Biazon and his wife
lead the dance floor assisted by the Eliw’s Band of
Alaminos City and the Mix Band of Bolinao, Pangasinan while
the crowd are excitedly watching them.
On the other hand the higher officials of Alaminos City
showed their support to Brgy. Bued Hon. Danilo Dizon (Board
Member, 1st District Pang.), was there to give his message
the people. As well as Vice-Mayor Teofilo Humilde and Engr.
Mario Mabalot, representing the Mayor, Hon. Eduardo Fontelera. |
Before the coronation ceremony, a group called
“The Insider” from Mandaluyong City, entertained
the audience with their ati-atihan dance. The royal guards
from PIMSAT COLLEGE, of Dagupan City were introduced while
they’re dancing the newest dance craze “asereje”.
At exactly 12 midnight, the coronation was held. First, the
entrance of the royal guards followed by the candidates. The
reigning beauties were categories into three. |
After the pinning of sashes and giving of bouquets,
Miss Maritess Danglawen, former Mutya ng Bued, do her farewell
walk and give her last words.
The Second Princess is called “Miss Karagatan”
in the person of Josephine Sindayen dela Pena while the Ffirst
Princess is titled as "Miss Kabukiran." She is Miss
Lalaine Romero Quizon. And the Mutya ng Bued 2003 is Miss
Carmencita Amores de Leon. |
Miss Danglawen together with Hon. Ma. Angela
A. Braganza (District City Councilor) and Mr. Salvador Camba
(owner of C&B Poultry Supply), passed the crown and throne
to the new Mutya ng Bued.
The Barangay Bued Fiesta was celebrated peacefully and it
went well as people expected. Barangay officials are looking
forward for another successful celebration next year.
