Message to Kababayan

To my Beloved Kababayans

The City of Alaminos has now entered a new era marked by enthusiasm, hope and optimism. At present, it could be gleaned that the positive effects that has resulted from its conversion from municipality into a city, clearly outweighs the negative effects relative to its conversion.

However, the City government must not be complacent, to just sit and relax in its laurels. As early as now, it has to lay-out its development foundation, strong enough to weather any storm that might come along the way, in its pursuit for development. It has to come-up with innovative ideas and principles in the course of implementing its key development programs and projects specially in forging stronger private sector participation. It has to be bold enough to explore other possibilities that Alarninos has never been experienced before.

It is for this reason that with God's help, we will be constructing our new Cityhall Building that will adequately house the city government personnel. With ample rooms to work on, it is expected that better and more efficient services to our constituents will be delivered. This project will be build thru Built-Transfer-Scheme. Under this scheme, payment will only be made by the City upon the project's full completion and acceptance by the City. This mode of implementation is the first of its kind in the province and only one of the few in the country.

The implementation of the much awaited modern Public Market and the Shopping Mall that befits our growing city is just a matter of time. We are now in the final phase of review and evaluation of the proposal submitted to us. We are hoping that, in the days to come, we will be able to threshed-out some issues and concerns we saw in the proposal that was submitted by the proponent.

Clearly this humble representation is really moving heaven and earth so that the City could really move forward. With the able support of our Legislative Department and the strong enthusiasm exhibited by our constituents, there should be no turning back. We know that we will be facing a lot of challenges ahead, but we do believe that with God's help, and with the wholehearted support and cooperation of Alarninians not only in our locality, but all over the world, we are optimistic that we can win this battle. I trust that Alaminians will rally behind us, will be part of that one voice, that says, "Alarninos, Go High!. "
