Bernabe "Bench" S. Bacani, Jr., Rn, EMT-B, a representative from the PNRC, Dagupan Chapter, Youth Services conducted a 5 day training and seminar in Standard First Aid and Basic Life Support. More that 20 participants attended the training which was held at the Legislative Bldg. Alaminos City.

Other technique like first aid for a choking victim,

bandaging a burn victim

and for various situations

and injuries were taught.

The participant had to take written and hands-on practical examinations at the end of the training session. Two certificates of attendance and two certificates of proficiency were given to qualified participants.

Established in October 2000, the Western Pangasinan Sub-Chapter in Alaminos City serves as a blood station/blood collecting unit for donor recruitment, blood collection and storage. Being the new chapter it is presently under the guidance of the Dagupan City - San Carlos City - Pangasinan Chapter until it qualifies as an independent chapter. To become independent it must raise P500,000.00 in contributions yearly and have it's own building.

These contributions will fund the PNRC's six basic services and the administrative expenses of the chapter. Presently, the sub-chapter is occupying the second floor of the City Health Office rent free and has entered a lease with the city for the lot behind the Health Office for its new building. The sub-chapter is asking for donations toward the completion of the new building and a service vechicle. Donors, please contact our office or give at the places listed below.
