The Hon. Mayor of Alaminos Pangasinan.
We have been enjoying your website on our new computer. We are
just starting to learn how it works. So our timing was just right.
My wife, Narcisa Onia Resendez, is a daughter of Alaminos and just
loves seeing and keeping up with what is going on at home. She has
been here in the U.S.A. for about 30 yrs. She has never forgotten
where she came from and to where all her love one's are at. It's
hard to put into words, other than - home to her doesn't seem to
be that far a way anymore.
We are part of Dr. Pompeo Montemayor's extended family. His youngest
son, Mark Montemayor sit's as our City Counselor.
We looked for other city on the web. None to be found. We were
home for Christmas and just had a wonderful time, and was amazed
at how fast Alaminos is growing, especially on San Jose Blvd. Jerry
and Felipe are good friends of ours. I meet Jerry 6 yrs. ago, when
we were visiting there, they were mis-placed Filipinos. They went
home and found paradise. You know Mayor, your website is doing such
a good job, that my wife saw a van for sale there and wants us to
buy it. Wow! But most of all, your celebration of one year being
a city was just over whelming, seeing it just made both of us home
sick. Nothing but good will come from having your own website.
Oh yes! I did know Mayor Rivera 5 yrs. ago, we tried to put a Commission
on Alcohol and Drug Abuse. He appointed a lady with a last name
of Fajardo. Oh yes, I've been toying with the idea of making West
Sacramento and Alaminos a sister city here in the U.S.A. What do
you think? We are a city of about 30,000. We have the Port of Sacramento
here. Mark Montemayor is Post Commissioner. Let me know what you
think about having a sister city here.
As we Mexican say "Viva" Alaminos.
Respectfully yours,
Bill & Narcisa Resendez

Greetings Mila and clan,
We too feel we've neglected our heritage! We were born here
and when my brother was 8 and I was 4 my whole family immigrated
to the States (L.A., Ca.) After 35 years I moved back here not
knowing any dialect, ti rigat ko idi, but now I'm conversational
in Ilokano, limited comprehension in Tagalog and anggapu pay
in Panggalatok, intono qua. My brother is slowly making his
move back here but still goes back to the State while I've established
my permanent residency here.
This website was the idea of my brother who was looking for
thesis topic for his doctoral study in education. Any historical
or recent information you can supply us would be greatly appreciated
and posted on the website, this way it can be not only preserved
but available to those interested. You will notice that we were
able to a get an English and Ilokano version of Alaminos' history
from the Public Library and we received an email from an Alaminian
in N.Carolina suggesting a Panggalatok version, maybe you can
help us provide this?
We've included information from Alaminos' Comprehensive Land
Use Plan which give guidelines for its future development. Hopefully
this will help landowners like you, Balikbayans and others interested
in investing in the growth of Alaminos. If there are addition
information you want posted and if we can get access to it,
we will post it.
Good meeting you and Yes, let's keep in touch
Sincerely,
The Mailman

As a native-born of Alaminos, I am proud of your efforts. Congratulations
and more power to all of you. I have been a resident of the US for
the past many, many years but I do visit the old town and have seen
incredible progress since it has become a city.
What can Balikbayans do from here?

Thank you very much for acknowledging my email to you guys. I appreciate
that you took the time to respond back. well, my suggestion (by
your humble permission)! I think there should be a page about the
different local schools -- where each school can show off their
upcoming events (such as reunions & special occasion). That
way, alaminians overseas can keep track of their beloved alma maters.
Local sporting events are also a good addition; specially those
participated by such schools (like PRISAA, if it still exist)! the
way this could be accomplished is thru each schools' journalism/interact
club submitting a report quarterly or monthly. This could be beneficial
in ways like: a certain school needs some funding, alaminians overseas
can be informed and thus needed help can be met. Anyway, I included
some pics of my place here in SC, & some of mine (that way you
guys know who am i), I hope someone still recognize me! Good luck
with this awesome site and thanks for the time.

This is our testing site, eventually it will be ac.c. Please
send us more feedback on the new look!
3. Is there anything you would include in ac.c? All suggestions
are welcomed.
4. Do you have any info, article, content you want posted in
ac.c? If so, send it to us and we'll post it.

cool site! awesome job guys! its about time that the people of
alaminos are represented over the net! i would like to say hello
to my friends & cousins in sandoy, plus batch '99 graduates
of mary the queen! there is not much i can comment on the development
of this site, but it would be really an appreciation if there is
a alaminos history section in panggalatok. I mean in due regard,
for it to be a true alaminos product, a diversity of dialects is
a must, representation is a must. anyway, all is good and well,
great job guys! bravo zulu!

Subject: Celebration
Normanby Park Hockey is known to some of the older students at
ANHS and we are proud to announce that we have had a very succesfull
season playing hockey. We play in the Yorkshire League. Yorkshire
is a province and covers such City's and Towns as Sheffield, Rotherham,
Leeds, Bradford, Halifax, Scunthorpe and Scarborough. All in the
North of England. There are 12 Divisions in this league. Normanby
Park are 'Champions' of Division 3 this year and therefor play in
Division 2 next Season.Also Normanby Park's 2nd XI came 3rd in Division
6 and therefor play in Division 5 next season. This remarkable season
when the 1st XI lost only 2 games all year, follows the success
of last season 2000/2001 When the 1st XI won the Tadcaster 6 a side
Tournament and came 3rd in thier division while the 2nd XI came
'Runners Up' in the 2nd XI cup. Last year also our Youth Academy
team came second in the Province Cup. Why am I telling you this?
Well I am the Clubs Manager and Coach and as you know I feel that
I have friends in Alaminos City and I would like them to know what
we have achieved. Also all our acheivments have be made while wearing
shirts manufactured in Alaminos City by 'Sissons' near the Auditorium.
I have attached photogaphs as jpegs and hope you can put this little
story in your Celebration spot on the website. Perhaps you would
feel that a section for sporting achievements by the schools and
other sportsmen in Alaminos would be interesting. I for one would
love to hear how the ANHS has done with the girls basketball as
I was a sponsor for them a couple of years ago.
Kindest Regards
Dylan John Lamb.
