All websites dedicated to government units have devoted their energies
and resources to the presentation of cold facts and figures hoping
to attract potential investors. Above and beyond this, AlaminosCity.coms
mission is to maintain a grassroots approach of covering any event
affecting Alaminos and the neighboring municipality. Even small,
seemingly insignificant occasions mean the whole world to someone,
like a grandsons baptism or graduation.
The founders of this website are two brothers, born in Alaminos
and raised in the States, who have moved back with a vision that
Alaminos will be the IT center of Western Pangasinan. AlaminosCity.com
is their contribution towards this vision and to their fellow citymates.
On March 8, 2002, they had a positive and fruitful meeting with
the Mayor who has promised his support and from his department heads
by supplying city information for posting on the website. On March
28th, the first birthday of the City of Alaminos, the website was
born.
Currently, Email messages to recipients in Alaminos are sent to
neighboring towns or cities with websites without certainty that
they will be received. Here at AlaminosCity.com, our bulletin board
will be available for the public to view free of charge. For your
recipients who do not have Internet access, we will provide them
free E-mail service, so they can reply to your messages. Please
send your email messages to alaminoscitypost@digitelone.com.
AlaminosCity.com was developed to deposit cultural knowledge obtained
from a case study done on the City of Alaminos for a doctoral dissertation
for Pepperdine University, Malibu, California.
We welcome any suggestions for our next face-lift; things you would
want included in the website. You can contact our Webmaster at
alaminoscity@digitelone.com.
